Frequently asked questions about us, aka Ozraid!
What is Ozraid?
Ozraid is a Lord of the Rings Online raid group located on Turbine’s Arkenstone server.
We were originally located on Nimrodel and Elendilmir, but consolidated our raid groups into one on Arkenstone due to the closure of these servers in 2016.
We started on Nimrodel in September 2009. Sethco approached players in the Australian / Oceanic timezone to defeat The Watcher in The Water within The Vile Maw during Lord of the Rings Online’s Mines of Moria expansion. The group has been raiding together in one form or another ever since.
We began raiding on Elendilmir in May 2014. After meeting in an Ost Dunhoth raid, Sethco and Kelleran discussed co-leading content on the server. Together they gathered players in the Australian / Oceanic and American timezones, building an inclusive, vibrant community that’s grown around our raids.
With the closure of Elendilmir and Nimrodel, we merged our raid groups across both servers, and transferred to our new home… Arkenstone!
Are you a kinship?
No. We’re a raid group composed of a diverse group of members from various kinships. We are not associated with any one kin.
There is an Ozraid kin. It’s primarily used for storing raid supplies, and the retired characters of former members long-gone from the game.
What kind of raid group are you?
We play The Lord of the Rings Online to have fun with like-minded people.
We believe in creating an engaging, enjoyable, fun, friendly, open, and relaxed environment that players want to be a part of. We work together to achieve content, and develop and support players in a patient manner to this end. It may take us time to complete a challenging raid, but the payoff is worth it!
What content do you focus on?
Our primary focus is on level cap 12-player raids, skirmishes, and big battles.
